Rizal Shrine (Santa Clara Street, Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila) — the restored shrine inside Fort Santiago (a former Spanish colonial barracks) houses Rizaliana items in memory of the Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal spent his last few days here before he was executed on December 30, 1896. Among the objects exhibited are various books and manuscripts about the national hero; sketches, paintings, wood carvings and sculptures done by the hero; paraphernalia and souvenirs acquired during his several trips abroad and collections of colonial-style furniture from his hometown in Calamba, Laguna.
Admission: free (donations accepted). Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (Tuesday – Sunday).
