TAXIS – there are two types of taxis operating in Manila: the yellow taxis (which charge P70 for the first 500 meters of travel, P4 for every 300 meters after), and
White taxis (P40 for first 500 meters of travel, P3.50 for every 300 meters after). Compared to other international metropolises, Manila’s taxi rates are comparatively more reasonable. For that reason, many foreigners who first visit Manila (and to a lesser degree those who are experienced visitors there) feel more comfortable getting around town via taxi.
